While volunteering to help organize monthly campouts for his son's local scout troop, David Wood inherited a traditionally manual process of using spreadsheets, emails, and phone calls to plan monthly campouts for 250 people. Besides requiring significant volunteer time, the process was inherently inefficient and error prone. Using his design experience at Microsoft, he began envisioning a generalized software solution that could unify all the core elements for planning an event.
After carefully researching the market, David founded Eventene with the goal of aiding youth organizations in managing their membership rosters and planning their regular gatherings, field trips, campouts, and offsites. The company launched its first product in 2018, under a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.
In the years to follow, Eventene evolved and matured into a comprehensive event management system, appealing to corporations, associations, non-profits, and youth organizations. Eventene provides a single tool to plan all an organization's events throughout the year, including company offsites, retreats, seminars, conferences, and summits. The system also works well for managing sign-ups of regularly occurring events, such as weekly youth activities or monthly training sessions. Eventene's ability to adapt to a wide variety of event types and integrate with existing systems makes the system an excellent choice for activity directors and event planners, worldwide.
Eventene stands out among a competitive field by offering a comprehensive yet cost-effective event management solution for the mid-market, featuring an intuitive easy-to-learn user interface for both organizers and attendees.
